"Center Point"
At the heart of the city, next to the Bourke shopping st. I passed by a cozy italian restaurant called "CA de VIN".
Apart from a very warm welcome, "CA de VIN" is a unique place with its own decorations style.
-Greek Dinin'-
I'm back!! after been missing for a week...didn't go out that much..so here i come again ^^
A 24 hrs restaurant at the corner of Russel and Lonsdale st. ---> "Stalactites". I think that most of you might have heard or been to this restro before as it's quite popular among the clubbing people coz here's the only place that open all night long!!
Similar to kebab, greek's signature food is more of chargrilled meats with pita bread plus many kinds of dipping sauce.
Last night i did have calamari with greek salad, mixed chargrilled (chicken & lamb) and some dippings with a yummy pita bread!!

Chillin' Out @ the same place
Don't know whether you guys feel bored of following me to dine out on Lygon st. or not but I'm really like this area.
Tonight I went there again wanted to have pizza for dinner and the place that I stopped was "Zingarella" (189 Lygon st. Carlton). This place wasn't that big, there were only 7-8 tables. However, people who served here were very welcome you with a big smiley face. Straight away I opened the menu and something was standing out said that "wooden grilled homemade pizza" so yahhh...I've tried that and it was really fabulous!!!
And you can see at the top (which I chose to put the photos up first this time) were tonight's menu: warm chicken salad, Italian saugsage with the red wine sauce, homemade special pizza ans garlic prawn with risotto.

Thai Night
After been dining out for a while I've just realized that I haven't had dinner at Thai restaurant yet. This is pretty weird!!! I am Thai but never go for Thai food!! -_-" Anyway, so tonight here I came..."Krua Thai" restaurant on Bridge Road.
Saturday night is very busy for the owner and his crews :) thank god that I did call for reservation. After sat for a while, without looking at the menu I knew already what I would like to have and here are some of the Thai signature dishes: Som Tum (papaya salad), Tom Yum pla (spicy fish soup) and Moo yang (grilled pork with traditional spicy sauce).

"Oishi"="delicious"
This evening I took my friends out to dinner as it's one of them's birth day. We decided to have a Japanese food (again) as we all agreed that "let's have something healthy" :) Today I didn't go far away but just go straight to the center of the city, "China Town". If you enter from Swanston St. just 2mins walking into China Town you'll see on the left hand side there's a small japanese restaurant called "Kimurakun".
Even the restaurant itself looks quite old from the outside, but the inside gives kinda feeling of traditional japanese style as there're not much decorations, they have just a simple wooden chairs and tables. Here, the most popular menu is "bento box". They have varieties kind of bento sets that you can choose and they come with salad and one choice of your drinks.
These are what i ate :)

"Don't be afraid of gettin' smelly"
Tonight was one of my friend's birthday and she requested that she wanted to eat Korean food. Asking from people who live here before me and they're quite expert on food :), they all said the "BEST" korean restaurant would be "HWARO". So here we go!!

I have to say that this place is charming with its own style that make you feel like having dinner at home. The servers there are also very nice and funny. About the food, they have all korean's signature dishes ex: beef bulgogi, kimchi pancake and the grills, which I "LOVE" the most. My favourite is "spicy belly pork", it's something you better try here.

HWARO's dishes are not too expensive and I'd recommend that you should take tons of your friend to go with, then you can order different kinda things.

~What a good day~
I told myself that today's very good day. In Thailand, today's 09/09/09, is a special day for people to go to the temple. So I caaled up my parents asking them whether they went out anywhere today or not. And after a long talk with them, my dad told me that they were just went out to have such a great "sushi" @ the japanese restaurant that I always go when I'm back home in BKK. So with a little bit feeling jealous!! :) I chose to go had the best "sushi" for today's after class dinner as well.
I really love this place "Sakura". It's on Exhibition St. not too long if you walk from Little Collins St. then continue to walk up, crossing Swanston St. until you reach Exhibition St. and it's on the right hand side. This unique small japanese restaurant and bar, has a "sushi train" as an outstanding japanese way of eating style. The chefs and the servers all come from Japan. And I love their sushi because they have both "traditional sushi" and "fusion sushi", with a fresh ingredients everyday.
They open everyday except sunday from 11.45-15.00, 18.30-22.30
I suggest you to call for reservations before you go otherwise you won't get seats!!
Here're photos that I've always taken for you guys whenever I go out for my good choice "dinner" :)

"I just came back from Italy!!!"
Yesterday's weather was pretty confused for me. It started with a morning sunshine then it was suddenly very windy in the afternoon and ended up with such a cold evening. And this kinda mix weathers it made me feel wanna have a nice and warm spaghetti for dinner :) (was that make any sense?? actually there's nothing to do with the weather, it's just another excuse that I wanted go out!!). Therefore, I decided to go to Lygon St., an area that people here called it as a "little Italy".
Along this street I saw plenty of Italian restaurants both on the left and right hand side. This street looked really lively with people came having dinner and chatted with each other. I couldn't decide at first whether which restaurant I'd like to go but after a long walk for a while I decided to have my dinner @ "Villa Romana". At first when I stepped in I feel like home. As the restaurant itself is a wooden white house with a simple decorations of chairs, tables and "Rome village"pictures on the wall. (I was really wanna take some photos of the inside restaurant but unfortunately they didn't allow me to take it)
Anyways, I did order 3 dishes which are spaghetti seafood in napoli sauce, grilled chicken salad and garlic prawns on butter fried rice. After finished a fantastic dinner I felt like I just came and had dinner in Rome!! The place, the people and ,of course, the food were perfect atmosphere that you can sense that "this" is something very Italian.
Here are some photos I took (sorry for a little bit messy look). To be honest, I forgot to take photos at first because I was really starving hahaha. So after a couple of spoons I realized that "Oh my god!! this is what I'm going to put on my blog!!!".....and here we are.....

*Sweet Dining*
There was a pop up idea came into my mind this afternoon after watching the America Next Top Model on the youtube. The idea of "how to loose weight and become sooooo thinny like those girls on the catwalk?!" Well, when I was thinking about this, there was a little voice told me that "it's impossible!!! I'm not that fat!!! why do I have to loose weight as I feel so happy of what I am today!!!". Plus, I'm writing about "food" on my blog!!!!.....So my mind was back to normal and started to think about "eating stuffs" again :)
I almost forgot that I went to have some cupcakes as my "dinner" last night. Here are photos that I never forget to take for u guys whenever I go out having yummy things to eat :)

Today...after dinner....
Started the first day of the week with a feeling that wanna eat something cold!!! (may be I'm not feeling that cold enough by the weather) :) Therefore, after finished class at 7.30pm today, I went home straight away and had a "first time fast dinner" by cooking a chicken fried rice. Then my next destination is a very famous ice cream shop on Lygon, called "Freddo".
It's full name is "Il Dolce Freddo", it's a homemade gelato with variaties flavour for you to choose, which can be guaranteed of how delicious it is by winning the gelato at the international gelato faire in Italy. It's an everyday made fresh gelato!!!
I've been having a nice gelato at "Freddo" more than 20 times already since I've been in Melbourne for only a month. For those who has tried it before and not feeling that excited of how I decribed this "gelato from heaven", I called, well I'm sorry to say that I'm quite new here and just falling in love with it :)
Tonight I chose my favourite flavours: Tiramisu and Rocher...they're good combinations indeed!!!

-Very Simple-
I'm back!! this is gonna be really embarrassing of me that I did promise to myself (and to you, the reader) that I was going to look for something interesting to eat on friday night, something I wanna call "to die for" food for me....BUT!! it turned out that I was @ home with friends -_-" and I ended up cooking a "very simple" meal for my "dinner" instead.
I called it "Spicy Chicken Avocado Wrap"... a 10 mins preparation & cooking... ready to serve
There're not too many ,complicated, ingredients actually and here are the steps:
1. marinates chicken breast with a little bit of sesame oil, salt, black pepper and sugar.
2. pan fried until the chicken is cooked and the skin turns into gold color and slice into thin pieces.
3. prepare the salad that we're going to put inside the wrap (any vegetables you like but I'd suggest you that green salad and avocado are a perfect match to eat with chicken ^^)
4. warm up the wrap about 30 seconds
5. put salad in the wrap then put a little bit of mayonnaise and mustard on the top of your veggies.
6. follows by a pan fried chicken with "Nando's extra hot peri-peri" sauce!!!...I really want to recommend you guys to try this sauce (for those who haven't tried it yet)... it's really yummy to eat with a chicken wrap.
And here are the photos that I've taken yesterday evening...please enjoy!!! :)

My first day of blog --"My introduction" ^^
I called my blog "Dinin' Room" as it will be containing every informations about food, drinks, recipe, many more of cool places to dine out etc. Somebody might wanna ask that why I chose to focus the blog writing about only "dinner" and why not writing about breakfast or lunch, well... personally I never had a lunch because I'm kinda person who gets up (very) late :). And "lunch" for me is something that I'm not that happy with because I have to rush every time I'm eating. The only meal that I feel most comfortable with the most is "dinner" time!! I think many people also agree with me as well that "dinner" is the only meal that we can take time enjoying our wonderful food without keep staring at the watch. For myself, I really love both "dinner" that cooking by myself and those going out "dinner" that allows me to look for a nice place to taste a fabulous food!! Wait until this Friday...I did promise to myself that I'll have something delicious .......something that I'll call it a "to die for" food for me :)
ps: just letting you know that I am a "live to eat" person, not an "eat to live" person!!!
